From there you just need to eat a few hundred less to start losing weight. However, you cannot simply cut this number in half. That would push your body into what is known by many as “starvation mode.” In this state, your body processes food much more slowly, and it becomes much easier to gain weight. It also slows your metabolism, making it more difficult to lose weight in the end.

Geary also provides information on where you can get much of the food he suggests you eat. By doing this, he takes some of the burden off your shoulders, and he makes the program more accessible to more people.
